- Local-first architecture: All your expense records are stored directly on your device. We never upload your financial data to our servers.
- No account required: You can use the app without creating an account or providing personal information.
- Immediate deletion of audio: Voice recordings are processed in real-time and permanently deleted within seconds of transcription.
- No tracking or analytics: We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or behavioral analytics within the app.
- No advertising: We will never serve ads or sell your data to advertisers.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
- Early access registration: Name, email address, and any optional details you choose to share when signing up.
- Support communications: Any information you provide when contacting us for help.
Information processed during app usage
- Voice input: Audio recordings are transmitted to our speech recognition service provider for real-time transcription. Audio is processed transiently and is not stored by us or our provider beyond the transcription session.
- Text input: Text entries and chat queries are processed by our AI service provider to extract expense details and generate responses. This processing occurs in real-time and data is not retained beyond the session.
Information we do NOT collect
- Bank account or payment card details
- Location or GPS data
- Contacts, photos, or other device data
- Browsing history or app usage analytics
3. How we use your information
- To provide and operate the Paymitra service
- To process voice and text input for AI-powered expense tracking
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, or support requests

4. Third-party service providers
We use carefully selected third-party providers to deliver core functionality. These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify:
- Speech recognition provider: Processes voice audio for transcription. Audio is not stored after processing.
- AI processing provider: Processes text for expense extraction and conversational AI features. Data is not retained after the session.
- Google Play: Processes subscription payments. We do not have access to your full payment details.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for their marketing purposes.
5. Data retention
- Expense records: Stored locally on your device for as long as you choose. You have full control over deletion.
- Voice recordings: Deleted within seconds after transcription is complete.
- Registration data: Retained until you request deletion or close your account.
- Support communications: Retained for up to 24 months for service improvement and legal compliance.
6. Data security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- All data transmission uses TLS/HTTPS encryption
- Local data is stored in encrypted device storage
- Authentication credentials are stored securely on-device and never transmitted to our servers
- We conduct regular security reviews of our infrastructure and providers
